Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Sharp NEC Display Solutions of America (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2018
InterviewRecruiter took time to deeply explain the origin of the opening and the history of company. Received info on the salary and benefits and was explained what I could expect for all steps in the cycle. Spent time going thru my resume and offered more ideas for me. There was lots of enthusiasm and I was even more excited about the job after my first interview. I was made to feel important even if I'm sure they got 100 resumes
Asked my if the commute to their new office would be good for me. Asked me for details on how my current salry was set up not just the #s but what makes up the #s Asked me to describe time I created a program from scratch and what gives me energy on the jobAnswer Question
