    Pros

Shea Homes is dedicated to the employees, they offer great benefits, and a bonus program. They hold themselves and their employees to a high standard. The people that work along side me and above me are great.

    Cons

Meetings and more meetings. The pay could be better for what is demanded of you.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Shea Homes (Ocala, FL) in October 2015.

    Interview

They were willing to wait until after 5pm for the interview since I'm currently employed. First interview was with Sales team manager, that portion lasted about forty-five minutes. Asked several common interview questions and were genuinely interested in the answers. I was then introduced to whom I would be reporting directly to and we talked about twenty minutes and then I was introduced to two other staff members. Whole process took about forty-five minutes, no questions out the ordinary.

Called in for second interview with head of operations. Had to take wonderlik and DISC assessment tests, both relatively easy but I recommend taking free sample test that are readily available online. Guy was all business and very Shea oriented.

I was offered the position pending background check and I failed it bad! Couldn't prove my work history because employer before this one went out of business and I never kept anything from that long ago and I'm behind on my student loans and some medical bills from a surgery and they rejected me for that. Corporate HR controls everything; the sales team manager was going to try and vouch for me anyway and that ended up not being possible.
