    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Shippo (San Francisco, CA).

    Interview

    Coding challenge, phone interview, onsite

The HR team was quick but there was confusion since they initially rejected my application, and then rescheduled me for continuing the process.

The onsite was the biggest issue for me, not necessarily in terms of difficulty, because the first interviewer seemed really disengaged and uninterested, and (in my opinion) explained the problem statement wrong thrice, and each time when I tried understanding it again and rehashing my approach, he simply agreed with my assessment of the problem before stopping me midway through rewriting my algorithm to say that I was doing it wrong. That really threw me off and by the end of it I had run out of time. Subsequent interviewers were better but I think by then my fate was already sealed.
