Shire recognizes the importance of being able to provide our employees and their families with quality benefits as a part of their overall compensation package.     I have been working at Shire full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good team spirit and management, at least in my current orbit in Process Development. Good culture; profitable company with interesting and challenging work. Good compensation and benefits. My department management is good and supportive, and we work as one team. Resource planning is actively managed.

    Cons

    Currently re-organizing internally. Just had major layoff (in Vienna sections) and future events not known. So don't be surprised if departmental re-orgs happen.

    I applied online. I interviewed at Shire (Exton, PA) in June 2017.

    Interview

    Met with 5 people back to back at the Exton, PA location for a total of 3 hours. 4 weeks and two follow-up emails and no response whatsoever from the internal Shire recruiter or any of the people that I met with. Very unprofessional. Leaving the interview, I was on the fence, but this has made me a solid "thanks, but no thanks" if and when I ever hear back from the company. They've recently moved into a building in Exton that used to be someone else's. It has low ceilings, almost no windows and row upon row of cubicles. It felt like a cave. It did make me appreciate my current employer and work environment more though, so I guess that's something positive.
