Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sideways 6 (London, England) in May 2023
InterviewProcess was a bit slow overall. First I had a call with the head of CS - casual conversation so we can get to know each other and answer any questions I had on the role. We scheduled my official round 1 interview a week later with the head of CS and another member of the CS team. This was a 45 minute call - classic interview questions. Round 2 was then scheduled a week later, here I had to create a Kick-Off Call presentation for Five Guys and present it to the CS team - 45 minute call as well including a Q&A at the end. I was then told I'd be invited for a final interview with the CEO and head of CS, however 1 week later the head of CS reached out and told me there'd been a change of plans and they're not hiring for this position anymore. Disappointing end but overall great people and a great process.Interview
