Mission: Mission Statement To meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for Quality, Technology, Delivery, and Price while achieving the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.
This month commemorates my ten year anniversary with Sierra Circuits. I’m fortunate to have shared in the prosperity of our Company. I’m grateful for the support demonstrated through “Faith and Trust by Co-Workers and Management. In parallel my emotional maturity, self confidence and patience was enhanced. It has allowed me to seize opportunities and take on the challenges presented in my day to day activities for which I’m entrusted to perform. Subsequently; I’ve developed a clear understating for the words employee commitment”, personal high expectation”. In turn, “unprompted” I’ve been rewarded generously, monetarily for my efforts within the past ten years. I’ll just say, my quality of life was largely enhanced due to heartfelt generosity of the Owners of our Company. I participated in Sierra’s “Wellness” Program” for weight loss. I became physically fit. I reached my goal within the six 6-month limit and was awarded Five Hundred Dollars $500.00 for my effort. I didn’t stop there. One 1-year later I’m still going. I’ll have a six-pack stomach soon. Success: Someone once said; success is a journey, not a destination. The “Wellness Program” allowed me to define what that meant on a very personal level.....I was humbled. It was a “Life Changing Experience” that affected nearly every aspect of my being. My life experience at Sierra transcends the common employer/employee relationship. My goal is to continue to grow and to contribute to our Companies Mission By serving our Customer’s with commitment, continuous improvement and personal growth for years to come.
Sierra Circuits supports the top echelons of the high tech industry. Competition for technical talent is at an all time high. Often times employers run the risk and hiring recruits in haste, fearing the competition will snap them up if we don’t. The problem with that way of attaining employees at best Is a “crapshoot”. In my opinion upper Management should implement and maintain a matrix for recruitment of candidates for both Technical and Sales Staff. The first 1st part of the matrix would be; a Litmus for identifying personnel that are self starters, reliable, ‘motivated and confident. The second 2nd part could be; to define Sierra Circuits level of expectation In parallel establish tangible rewards for performance. Prepare “Guidelines” that can be shown to Serious Prospects. The matrix should not be a “static tool”. there could be a third 3nd part of the matrix to measure matrix effectiveness
Advice to Management
Bring back the employee suggestion box. Make it creative Offer incentives for good ideas related to continuous improvement Our company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sierra Circuits.
First had a phone screening and then invited to the in-person interview. Overall, the questions were easy and the environment was informal. I have a degree in Human Resources so I thought I'd get the job for sure. The pay was low $17 hour but I was desperate. The lady kept telling me "Trust me, you don't want to work here" It was bizarre but overall, glad I did not end up there.
