I worked at Sierra Circuits full-time (More than a year)
I've had the pleasure working with some of the nicest people who helped me grow as a professional. I found this job out of college and was nurtured into gaining knowledge and applying my newfound skills. If you have a passion to learn and grow, you will thrive in this environment while working with great people.
Benefits need to be better. They are a bit expensive. Management should listen to employees and pay is bare minimum for the work at hand.
Advice to Management
Please modernize your business practices and technologies. For Silicon Valley employers, the bar is very high and there is room for growth with adaptation.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sierra Circuits (Sunnyvale, CA).
When I first arrived, they were pressuring another interviewee to quit their other job right away to join right now. The interviewee was insisting that he wants and needs to provide a 2 weeks. That set the tone right away. You are given a simple math worksheet as part of the interview process. No real technical questions, they just explain to you what the jist is. I was a little worried that they asked "Are you smart?"
Got a tour of the place, major fumes and no enforcement of PPE.
Process Engineer told me that he's extremely sick and wasn't allowed to take a sick day due to continuous problems arising.
