Advice to Management
Be more transparent
The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Sierra Nevada Corporation.
The process was very unprofessional, they called me and told me what the would be offering me momey wise with my experience, and set up an interview. I showed up for the interview and they interviewed me and another person at the same time. Didn't ask any questions about me. Just made a statement saying you will be required to work all shifts, and than just talked about what it's like working there. Mentioned numerous times that they don't "go back and forth on pay". Then I received a call a week later saying they were offering me around 10 dollars an hour less than what they originally said, and that they were going to put me in an A&P I position with my 5+ years experience. I asked other employees what their experience and pay was at time of hire and I found that someone with zero experience was hired in an A&P II position at a higher pay rate, and a person with only a year experience out of a&p school hired on as an A&P II but I don't know the rate.
When I received another phone call saying they would not offer me more I told them that I know other people that work there have less experience and are getting paid more and they got mad saying that we aren't allowed to talk about pay with other employees. I asked are you saying that legally we can't speak to each other about pay? They continued to say "no no no we just highly recommend that you don't".
Everyone who works here is generally very underpaid and undervalued because I have talked to other employees since I denied the offer. I noticed that they also play A lot of favorites with employees. I would never recommend SNC to anyone that I know especially at the Moody, AFB location.
