Happy Holidays from all of us here at Signature Analytics!
We are so excited to unveil our brand new office space in Sorrento Valley. We were busting at the seams in our old place so we now have a lot more room to grow!
In 2008, Jason Kruger started Signature Analytics with the vision of taking the benefits and expertise of large company financial and accounting tools and processes and making them accessible to small and medium sized businesses.
Since then, we have refined our service model, expanded our team, and worked with hundreds of companies spanning across a variety of industries and stages to achieve their goals.
Today, we are an Inc. 500 firm and have been recognized as one of the best places to work. We now have offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego and continue to grow and deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Our Client Base
With over 200+ diverse businesses, our client base spans across industries in all stages, including startups, growth businesses, mature businesses, and distressed businesses.
Customized to Fit
Our team of professionals are committed to our clients’ success. We start by getting to know your business and your goals and then customize our services to meet your needs.
We Are Local
Our team is based in the markets we serve, ensuring that our clients get the best services available.
Solutions That Work
Whether it’s continuing to use current systems or recommending alternative options based on our expertise, we work with our clients to find the best technology solutions for them.
Our offices work together to share resources and technical expertise, giving our clients the benefits of a large firm, while working day-to-day with a team that lives locally.
We Work Onsite
While technology enables us to provide accounting and finance support to businesses anywhere, having a local presence allows our team to work with our clients at their offices.
Our people are our business. By creating a rewarding work environment and focusing on developing opportunities that promote both professional and personal growth, we attract and retain the best talent.
As individuals, we explore opportunities to enhance our knowledge through on the job experience, training, and self-directed learning. As a company, we seek to improve our services and processes as we grow and adapt to the market and our goals.
We help clients achieve their goals by providing timely, quality services. We aim to understand our clients’ needs, look out for their best interest, and explore ways to add value to their business.
We are business partners and advisors, leveraging our expertise in finance, accounting, operations, and business, to develop tools and analyses to further develop and drive our clients’ success.
If you are working in public accounting, now may be the perfect time to reconsider and take what you’ve learned and apply it in a new way – at an outsourced accounting firm like Signature Analytics.
#1: Higher Pay
Signature Analytics pays more than the public accounting firms, including a higher base salary and overtime compensation. We also award quarterly bonuses which are tied to personal performance, not the company’s, giving you complete control over what you receive.
#2: Shorter Hours
At Signature Analytics, utilization goals are based on a 45 hour work week. Your hours are more consistent because we provide ongoing accounting support for our clients.
#3: Forward-Focused Financial Analysis & Reporting
At Signature Analytics, the work we perform for our clients is focused on analyzing real-time business operations and projecting future periods. You gain valuable experience overseeing and/or working in an accounting and finance department, having an opportunity to learn new skills while helping you advance your career.
#4: Positively Impact Your Clients’ Business
Our accountants, especially at the CFO and controller levels, spend a significant amount of time on management/board of director reporting and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for our clients. At Signature Analytics, you have the opportunity to understand and influence your clients’ businesses, then see those changes come to fruition.
#5: Not Your Typical Busy Season
At Signature Analytics, you get more of your life back. While you will still be managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end work, the hours are nothing like what you may have experienced while working for a public accounting firm, especially a “Big 4” firm.
#6: Varied Work
Sick of stagnant work? At Signature Analytics, you will provide accounting support to businesses in various industries, including advertising, apparel, biotech, construction, food/beverage, manufacturing, and technology.
#7: Less Stress
At Signature Analytics, you will provide ongoing accounting support to clients rather than working on back-to-back audit engagements, significantly reducing your day-to-day stress.
#8: Have a Direct Impact on Our Growth
Working for a large company, you can feel removed, even ostracized, from the decision makers. At Signature Analytics, you have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the managers making decisions and setting the policies for our company. We encourage our team to support business development activities and contribute ideas to promote future growth.
#9: Interact with Clients
Our accountants work with multiple clients on a daily basis and support a variety of companies in many different industries. From start-ups to well-established businesses, our accountants, at every level, interact directly with their highest levels of management.
#10: Work Alongside Other Accountants
Our team includes some of best and brightest accountants, most of whom came from public accounting. At Signature Analytics, we embrace our diverse skill-sets and backgrounds and encourage learning from each other while continuing to advance your career.
#11: Better Work/Life Balance
In public accounting, long hours can send your work life balance into a tailspin. And while we know you LOVE accounting, having a more manageable schedule means more time for the other things you love, too. Like your Goat Yoga class.
#12: No Travel
Our accountants split their time between working onsite with their clients and in our office. All of our clients are local, so while you may not be at the same desk every day, you are in your own bed every night.
I have been working at Signature Analytics full-time
I initially interviewed with the Talent Recruiter and she has been the best HR representative I have ever met in my career. She knew the job well and was very honest about workload, culture, and pay. After speaking with her, I was immediately scheduled for interviews in the office, including a written assessment of your accounting skills--nothing to sweat about if you know your stuff--and a mock client meeting--again, if you know your stuff then nothing to worry about. Work hours are very flexible and unlimited PTO works well. I have yet to find a managerial position where one is allowed more than 2 weeks of vacation at a time so maximum 2 weeks at a time seems reasonable.
The office is located in Sorrento Valley so traffic can be a pain going home but this is San Diego and there is traffic everywhere. With flexible hours, one can adjust their hours for minimal traffic impact.
Advice to Management
Continue treating the employees well to retain the good ones.
I applied through other source. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Signature Analytics.
I was contacted by their in-house recruiter after positing my resume on a job site. A phone interview was scheduled. There was enough interest after the phone interview for an in-person interview with the president. That went okay. The whole process last roughly under a month, but I ultimately accepted their job offer.
