    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Signature Bank (New York, NY) in August 2017.

    Interview

Quick five minute phone screen. Clearly, the only goal was to get my salary background. Only one quick question regarding past job duties. Then, in person interview with HR. When I got there, someone took me up to the floor. Told me to sit down and the HR person would come out. Never asked if I needed to use the rest room or any water (and it was a hot and humid day). HR person was unfriendly. Made me feel uncomfortable. Also, never offered me any water. In depth interview that could have been done over the phone. I could tell by the questions I was being asked that I had no shot at getting this job, or even moving on to the next phase of interview process. Could not wait to get out of there. But here is the kicker....the HR person was annoyed that I did not bring a pay stub for my last job. I felt very uncomfortalbe providing that info before getting an offer. When I asked why they insisted on the pay stub, I was told they need it to be able to make the offer. Absolutely ridiculous and unfair.
