Mission-Based PAM: Are You Ready? - Security Boulevard

Mission-Based PAM: Are You Ready? 5 questions to ask to determine your organization's readiness for mission-based PAM Organizations often begin their privileged access management (PAM) initiative with a mandate-for example, responding to a specific audit finding or regulatory requirement, such as a failure to properly rotate credentials or lock down passwords in a secure digital vault.

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM) can be complex but organizations can take steps in key areas to better position themselves for PAM success. Find out more in “Efficient Steps Toward a Successful PAM Implementation” on Infosecurity Magazine by Sila PAM Practice Lead Cathy Hall.

Efficient Steps Toward a Successful PAM Implementation

The best way to handle privileged access management (PAM) isn't to simply check a box to satisfy a mandate, it's to view it as a mission. A mission-based approach ensures that you improve security across your whole enterprise over time, rather than only satisfying a limited, one-time mandate.

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sila Solutions Group in November 2017.

I was contacted through email by a recruiter to set up a phone interview, which was to talk about my experience/resume. The recruiter then set up a technical phone screen with a team lead who asked me more about my resume and asked me a few technical questions.

After the technical phone screen, I was asked to come in to the Arlington office, where I had 3 back-to-back interviews with a manager and 2 engineers. The engineers had questions about my resume as well as a few technical questions about OOP and some simple algorithms, but there was no typical whiteboarding. The manager just wanted to get to know me a little better and wanted to answer any questions I had. Overall a very good experience, and I felt comfortable from the first phone call to the last in-person interview.
