I have been working at Simpson Strong-Tie part-time (More than a year)

Excellent management. Great training. Work place environment very enjoyable. Employees help each other. Fun department parties. Friendly co-workers. Quarterly bonuses something to look forward to. This is a company to stay.

I can't think of many cons for working at branch 23. It has been a wonderful experience. There are some employees who have been at the same job for close to 10 years. There needs to be a career path for these people so they don't get stale at their jobs.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Global Trade Compliance Manager Interview

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Simpson Strong-Tie (Pleasanton, CA) in November 2016.

I had two wonderful, friendly in-person interviews: first with 4 including the role's direct supervisor, then with the supervisor and 4 others. We seemed to build a great rapport immediately, and while they were careful not to guarantee anything, they indicated in a dozen different ways that I was the first choice. After the 2nd interview, I received an email request to complete SEVERAL HR type forms, including a consent to drug testing. They were supposed to meet with the CEO and let me know by the following week. Well, they did, and despite saying I would be a great fit and be an excellent long-term asset, there was ONE area (among about 6 major areas, 5 of which I nailed) that they needed most of all, and other candidates had more experience there. Honestly, I felt like they'd pulled a rug out from under me. They sold me on the company and the team, and I felt led on.
