Want some advice for interviewing? Hear from Matt:
Sinclair recognizes the benefit of developmental experiences and encourages employees to talk with their supervisors about their career plans. Supervisors are encouraged to support employees’ efforts to gain experience and advance within the organization. Upward mobility provides growth for employees and qualified personnel for the Company. Through its internal recruiting process, the Upward Mobility Program informs employees of job openings so that qualified employees will have the opportunity to apply, promote and even move with to another location to perform at the highest level for which they are capable and qualified.

We also like to have FUN! Hear from Pat on a new tradition she's implemented at her station:
Simply put the Company's Mission is "Connecting People with Content Everywhere".
You're probably thinking, "How does this affect employees?"
Hear from Manny about our Mission and what it means to us:
I have been working at Sinclair Broadcast Group full-time (Less than a year)
Really nice benefits (2 weeks paid vacation after 6 months, 3 weeks after 3 years, and 4 weeks after 10 years, LOTS of health care options), a positive environment, an emphasis on innovation and creativity (especially in creative services), a good work/life balance, constant effort (at least since I've started) of trying to improve the work environment, an open door policy throughout the whole company
Probably for where I am right now, there aren't going to be many opportunities for promotions unless I'm willing to move (but they do annual raises so it may not be a big deal!).
Advice to Management
Keep listening and adapting to what employees ask for. Generally, I think the management I'm under does a pretty great job at communicating and being helpful!
I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Sinclair Broadcast Group (Hunt Valley, MD) in November 2015.
IT was a conversation, very informal I learned about the company and what they wanted and talk about myself and what I could bring to the table. The whole process took about a week total
