Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Junior Data Analyst InterviewAnonymous Employee in Lubbock, TXNo OfferNegative ExperienceAverage InterviewApplication
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SitePro (Lubbock, TX) in Nov 2018
InterviewGetting the interview itself took about a month as they were going through managerial changes (their words, not mine). The interview was supposed to be with a CEO and two people from the San Antonio office. The CEO did not show up to the interview; instead one of the San Antonio people happened to be on site and interviewed me with the other San Antonio person and the CEO on the phones. It was apparent in the interview that they were unsure what a data analyst could do for them. I was told the next day that there would be a data science test for all the candidates, 'available shortly next week'. I had to check back with them two weeks later to hear that they moved forward with other candidates instead. Again, the lack of organization at all levels of the company is apparent. Hopefully their hiring process is much more streamlined in the future.Interview
