I have been working at Skyline Displays, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is great team of people who truly care about each other. In the last two years working at Skyline Displays of Houston, I've noticed a severe positive shift in the culture. Management is increasing the level of transparency and communication, roles are more clearly defined, and people have autonomy to do what needs to get done, while also being held accountable for making it happen.
People here are fun to be with and have fun at work.

    Cons

The job can get stressful, as we're basically event planners. A sense of urgency is key - things have to get done ON TIME. Sometimes this requires long and/or odd hours.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skyline Displays, Inc. (Houston, TX) in November 2014.

    Interview

Owner called former employers without my permission. Called people who worked there derogatory names. You actually had to go drinking alcohol with the owner and VP as the last part of interview. They are hoping you will show a side of yourself that you didn't show during the interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Why don't you like to drink? Why do you enjoy a healthy lifestyle? Even though you have years of experience are you willing to forget everything you know and start over? Women traditionally do better why would you be better over a woman they may hire?   1 Answer
