"I enlisted in the Air Force in May 2000 as a Medical Technician, and served my time at the 911th Airlift Wing in Cranberry, PA. Although my military career is not within the same profession as my current career in Sales at Skyworks, the training and experience I was afforded while serving in the military is assisting me tremendously. As a Medical Technician, my job consisted of providing daily support for physicians, checking vitals, and updating and maintaining medical records of numerous patients on a day-to-day basis. The ability to focus on details and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment was instrumental in the daily running of our medical clinic. Keeping a level-head and maintaining a calm approach to various circumstances ensured our patients received accurate diagnosis and care. I have been able to use these very same skills in my daily work approach at Skyworks. In doing so, this not only instills confidence in my fellow co-workers that a situation can, and will be handled adequately without delay, but it lets them know I am reliable. I have been at Skyworks for 3 years and see myself expanding my industry knowledge for many years to come. The work environment is very dynamic, inclusive and collaborative. I truly feel that I am a part of a family."
Always something to do. Interesting problems to solve. Good Benefits
The only thing i could think of is that sometimes there is too many things to do and you have to meet deadlines compromising your weekend.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Skyworks Solutions.
On campus - short and simple questions. They were more interested in my research experience, and just wanted to ensure that I knew the basics. Step 2 of the process in on-site interviews. Waiting to hear back from them about this right now. They said the on-site interview was 1 day long with multiple interviews.
