I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Smart Solutions.
First contact was through a hiring agency. They contacted a member of the help desk they already knew who submitted my resume to a hiring manager. The first contact was a phone interview with little notice. I was told I would be contacted, but no appointment was set up. Second contact was another more in detail phone interview discussing technical details of the job with the Vice President of the company. These two interviews were followed up with an in person interview at the main office. Within a week or so I was notified I was being offered a position and we negotiated for an "entry-level" salary. Benefits were included at my option, but the salary was really not negotiable it seemed. They were flexible with a start date.
Start high. They may say that they can not afford it, but if you start low, you're stuck low. Don't accept that they can move you up quickly over a few years.
