I worked at Smart Tuition (More than a year)
Everyone is very friendly. It is a very comfortable work environment. There is oppurtunity to grow.
9-6 can be a long business day.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Smart Tuition.
The very first thing (before even a phone screen) they asked me to do a code audition. The lack of phone screen should have been a red flag. For the code audition they wanted me to create a CRUD application using Angular and Entity Framework.
The issue seemed to be that my code audition was not complete enough. The reviewers expected full enterprise level logging and error handling as well as aesthetics and harped on the most minute refactoring in CSS. I was given no real chance to explain my process. I tried to explain that certain things were left out simply due to it being a code audition and me not having extra time due to having to do similar things for other companies.
I was told that they would review my code (they hadn't looked at it at all before the conference call) and that I would hear back one way or the other. After not hearing anything for a while I contacted the technical recruiter who promised me they would get back to me ASAP. I have heard nothing further.
One of our client schools speaks about the great service and support they receive from Smart Tuition.
