I worked at Snap Fitness (More than a year)
Great owner, management and team. Clients/members nice as well. Ability to set own rates as a trainer and also best pay split of most gyms. Equipment in great condition and tools available via Snap corporate were many for both trainers and members.
Most are pretty small footprint which makes training during the desired peak times of day difficult (as you don't want to bother members that aren't training with you while you are training clients)...
I'm not really into weight loss contests
As most gym jobs go it can be difficult to have a set schedule (however, if you only work certain hours you may attract the members that work out at those times, too).
Advice to Management
PT may be limited due to footprint of location...I didn't communicate with CEO at all so I can't really rate.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap Fitness.
I contacted the club managers and they requested a copy of my resume via email. A week later we scheduled a phone interview followed by an in-person interview at the club.
