Social Monk Reviews
Pros
The work environment is amazing! I worked there for over a year and I made incredible relationships with corporate, management, and staff within the restaurant. You will get to meet and work with executives of the Cheesecake Factory company, as well as have a close connection with an amazing General Manager, Managers, and Supervisors. In addition, you will experience an amazing cooking crew, and friendly Front of House family. Coming into work is worth it because of the people and crew you have! You will also get discounts on food when you work, as well as when you are not working. There is also a discount applied to Cheesecake Factory because they are the "parents" of Social Monk. Also, there are many regulars that are incredibly nice and love keeping up with you! Tips are also really great for Front of House! Depending on how many hours you work that day, I have seen up to 260 dollars in tips on a busy day working 8 hours. On a normal shift working 5 hours I would receive around 40-60 dollars in tips for that day.
Cons
There are some inconsistencies with hours sometimes. For the most part, the schedule does not change often but there will be times where you gain hours or lose hours. You will need to voice how many hours you expect to work and be diligent in picking up shifts when they are dropped. This is not a full time position for front of the house. A normal shift is around 5 hours, and there are occasional days I worked 8 hours.
