    I have been working at SolarWinds full-time (More than 3 years)


    * Large, stable company with high growth
    * Excellent and inexpensive health insurance, strong 401k matching, etc
    * Free lunches twice a week
    * Cool and modern office space with lots of natural light
    * Smart and fun group of coworkers
    * Strong products and loyal customers across global footprint
    * Performance focus creates strong growth opportunities for those willing to work hard (see other negative reviews for those who aren't)
    * Transparent and honest management that don't try to sugarcoat things


    * Fast pace doesn't fit some - this isn't a bank moving like a glacier - SolarWinds moves quickly
    * Definitely a few growing pains along the way as the company reaches significant market size
    * Communication between departments can be hit or miss at times depending upon how much is going on (see fast pace above)

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the recent efforts to understand employees and improve things. You can't please everybody, but you can get a little better ever day.

    I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at SolarWinds.


    Received an email asking to do a short phone call from recruiting manager. After that short interview, I was asked to meet in person with the hiring manager.

    During the actual interview, the manager showed up 10 minutes late and it felt like the manager had somewhere else he'd rather be. Or, more likely that they had already had someone in mind for the position and I was just filling up another interview spot. He briefly looked at my resume and mostly asked me about my background. There was no real actual interview regarding the job and it took about 15 minutes total.

    Overall, I don't think I would have been a good fit for the position but it would have been nice to actually go through the process.
