Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SolarWinds (Ireland)
Interview20m call with recruiter, 30m video interview with two "Solarians", 30m video interview with the future manager, 10m call with verbal offer; The entire process from the first call to the offer took about four weeks, which is relatively good. Sadly I was left waiting for several minutes at the beginning of every single interaction, which shows a lack of respect for the interviewee's time and schedule. Information from the different people varied and there were inconsistencies with what I was told, which hints to a bad internal communication or preparation for the interviews. And finally after getting the offer I felt very pressured into accepting from several ends, which was the final red flag needed to reconsider and finally declining.Interview
