I worked at Solex College part-time (More than 3 years)
Friendly environment, flexible hours, and possibilities to build relationships with other employees. Everyone is like a family that is willing to help you succeed. You either loved it or hated it. It all depended on your attitude at the workplace.
No benefits and little career advancement.
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Solex College (Wheeling, IL) in August 2009.
The management staff at Solex College is small and like a family run business. You would usually interview with your direct supervisor of your position and the executive director/owner of the school. The interview was very casual and laid back and most of the questions were directed at getting to know you (60%) and your abilities/background (40%). The ultimate decision and offer is made directly by the executive director/owner of the school.
There is much room to negotiate salary and benefits.
