Some great colleagues and interesting projects made my time there worthwhile. This was my first experience as a union member, and I appreciated only working 40-hour weeks.

By creating a just and caring community free from poverty, prejudice, and neglect, it sometimes felt like we were taking on too much.

    Difficult Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Solid Ground (Seattle, WA).

Initial communications occurred with contacting the executive search company retained to do the hiring. The process included several emails and a skype chat with them, and then progressed to the Board of Directors at Solid Ground. They were extremely helpful in providing the pertinent information needed and also about informing where you stand in the process. Very compassionate people, with a truly diverse array of offerings for their clients and also to enrich the community. I left feeling that I was a bit underqualified for the position, not because of any ill action or words, yet merely because they are so adept at all of the ventures that they have pursued. It was quite a long process, yet not toilsome.
