I have been working at Sonoco Alloyd full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I work with a lot of great people. We do retail packaging, so there is always a good variety of work to keep the job interesting. The company has great benefits by today's standards, namely, the health insurance is pretty affordable.

    Cons

Like many companies, we've minimized the workforce a lot over the last 10 years or so & additional responsibilities have been put on all employees. I don't mind being flexible & helping the company any way I can, but some things are just ridiculous.

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Sonoco Alloyd (DeKalb, IL) in January 2016.

    Interview

it was difficult. It was a very long process and very tedious. The online questionnaire was extremely long. It was a panel style interview a set question interview. It didn't give a person time to really think about their answers to the very difficult and challenging questions that were asked. Most of the questions would require some thought to answer properly however they had to be answered immediately that gave the person little time to properly think of an answer.
