I worked at Sony Pictures Digital Production full-time
I worked there for years, never looking elsewhere. Fantastic work/life balance, almost too good to be true. Strong friendships and a true family feeling. Work was great, but not a true presentation of the groups capabilities.
Too many people involved in some projects, too many having to sign off on projects. A lot of great talent was underutilized. Not very good opportunities for advancing, the titles often didn't reflect the work being done.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Sony Pictures Digital Production (Culver City, CA) in July 2009.
Step 1 - HR
Step 2 - Actual meeting with senior management
Step 3- Meeting with team
They (HR) gave me an offer. I tried to ask for more money but they said the offer was not negotiable. They try to get you at a low rate but try to get the most you can at the beginning of your employment because the annual raises are not that significant.
