I have been working at South Coast Community Services full-time (More than 3 years)
I have been here for 3 years. As I was planning to leave a good review I was shock to see so many bad reviews. I actually believe that as any other company each employee will get what they work for. I heard from others not to come here at first because of some rules they had. I decided to come because they seem so organized and quick on their job. I felt that I needed to give it a try, and I am very very glad I did.
What I really like about South Coast, is the structure. Other than being a Clinician my requires presentations to promote South Coast Services and I am very pleased to communicate that South Coast is reliable. They go by the book in rules, specially laws and ethics. I heard from my clients that we are very professional. I see also that South Coast's services increased every fisco year, in which even the County recognize such as good and reliable services.
I also love the work of Program Director. She was my supervisor and she is sharp, humble and gentle. To be honest I think they were very patient and merciful with me, and treated me all with a lot of respect even though I tended to do a lot of mistakes in paperwork. They are strict on paperwork standards but to be very honest, they are the most helpful in terms of making less paperwork as possible and they make it easier. I have been on other Agencies with same program and I can affirm that paperwork here is easier than the places I have been. It is a safe agency, as long as you keep your communication and striving to be the best your can, they will work with you. I also see a lot of our own staff getting promoted. And I am not aware of too many terminations. The environment is safe, friendly, helpful and team based. Overall, I really like South Coast and I will highly recommend this Agency.
I would like to have more PTOs, that would be nice :)
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at South Coast Community Services (Colton, CA) in July 2013.
It was a large group (approximately 20 people) interview with a 4 person panel asking the same questions to all group members. It lasted over an hour. At the end, the panel asked what locations and programs we would prefer to work in (however this was not taken into account when I eventually accepted the job offer).
