I have been working at Southeast Business Consultants full-time (Less than a year)
I recently graduated in may of 2014 and had some trouble getting a job because of no experience. I started working with Southeast and I am learning so much! I never thought I would see my self in a leadership role this fast but I started off doing business sales and moved into a team lead position. The sales took me about 2 weeks to get down and really had to focus. Going into a business talking with a business owner was a little scary at 1st but the management team was so supportive and the training at that point was so structured it made it easier for me. After I started being myself and using my personality sales started coming in and I got promoted. I am now a team lead with southeast and I am learning so much about myself and how to lead others. I never knew what it was like to manage people but I am getting a chance at a small level to learn how. I have been running morning meetings at least 3 days a week, training new reps in the field, and they are teaching me everything I need to know at my own pace. I can't say that the career path here is easy but I can say I am learning more about leadership and more importantly myself. This job has brought my self confidence to a new level. I'm working towards another promotion and hope I can meet the expectations to receive one. My manger makes it pretty clear not everyone is going to make it to the top in sales and marketing that it takes hard work a dedication. So I'm going to see how far I can take things in this industry. If I fail at least I tried right! It helps to have a supportive father that's been in sales for 30years as well. He started off just like I am so I get extra advice at home from him!
I have good days and bad days - but I learn from both so I don't know if that a con or not
Overall I cant say that I have any.
Advice to Management
I would like to travel so any opportunities for that would be great!! Other than that you all are pretty cool peeps in my book! HAH!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Southeast Business Consultants (Nashville, TN).
You will go on an all day interview. You will be made to think you are being presented with a great opportunity. There are usually questions about your job history but you can pretty much get hired no matter what you say.
