    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Southern California Public Radio full-time

    Pros

I love that they're growing and able to continue to innovate while operating in a highly competitive media market.

    Cons

Sometimes it does feel that there's a lack of growth opportunity there.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see more of a focus on fostering and moving talent through the system as there are a lot of young and hungry people there.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Southern California Public Radio (Los Angeles, CA).

    Interview

I was brought in twice for interviews with different levels of staff. I was asked to prepare several story pitches (including guest ideas, story angles, and contact information), edit a radio interview to a specific time, and also spent about two hours in the office taking skill and knowledge-based tests.

    Interview Questions

    • When I was brought in for the second round of interviews, there were several unexpected in-office tests.   Answer Question
