Mission: To create lasting banking relationships through exceptional people delivering extraordinary service.
I have been working at Southside Bancshares part-time (Less than a year)
Friendly staff, helpful. Community centered and easy to navigate systems. Family friendly. Growing fast. Customers are nice in general compared to other banks
No benefits for part time employees, procedures vary from person to person or branch to branch. Systems constantly changing so you're never using the same one for too long. Pay is comparable to big box banks... which means it's not good. Turn around is high.
Advice to Management
Offer your PT employees a pro rated holiday pay and PTO. Pay better, and people might stay longer. Eliminate some of your paper too.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Southside Bancshares (Tyler, TX).
There are a series of (3) parts to the interview process. (1) testing on a computer that tests a multitude of items in order to establish a baseline of computer skills, software skills and general math. Secondly, there is an interview with HR. This interview is very standard questions etc. Once you have done the (1st) interview and the computer testing then you have an interview with your direct manager and loan officers that are ib the branch.i met around 10 people and was brought into the bank 3 different times.
