Since it's inception in 1974, Specialized has been headquartered in Morgan Hill, CA...and we've been growing ever since! To make the worlds best bicycles, it takes a team of talented more than 1,500 teammates across 25 locations around the world.
Life at the Office
Our culture is defined by a fun and vibrant environment. Specialized is dog friendly, boasts an in-house Service Course for repairs and instructive, friendly wrenching, and provides a game room for those ‘time-out’ restorative breaks. Our connections with one another make us truly one Specialized family.
Specialized offers a variety of affordable and competitive medical, dental and vision plans, in addition to a wealth of other rewards. We offer many programs including: employer-matched 401k, tuition reimbursement and donation matching...not to mention a rad teammate discount program!
We're an open book, so feel free to head over to the Specialized Benefits Hub to learn about all of our offerings.
Health comes first at Specialized. It's at the heart of what we do, and we've got the programs to make sure every teammate has the opportunity to be well.
We love to break away at lunch to mentally reset and get some endorphines going. Whether it's joining the famous lunch ride or just spinning down the street to grab a burrito, it's your ride, your rules. The Coyote Valley Preserve is also just a quick drive down the road if you're in the mood to hit the dirt!
If you're not feeling up for a ride, there's plenty more for you to do. From an on-site gym to instructor-led yoga and pilates classes, we've got you covered. Once you're through, we've got locker rooms complete with showers and amenities for freshening up.
After you get your sweat on, enjoy and subsidized lunch in our health-conscious cafeteria - lovinginly known as the Feedzone. We also serve as a CSA (community supported agriculture) Drop-Off point, so you can keep the wellness going at home.
The causes you believe in are important to us. From reducing your carbon footprint and volunteering for a charity of your choice, to matching charitable contributions, we’ll help you stay inspired and make an impact for the causes you care about.
Founded on performance and fueled by innovation, our focus on the rider and their needs is our constant. From seasoned pros and weekend warriors, to kids and commuters—if you ride, we’re for you.
We believe bikes have the power to change lives. This simple truth drives us to be—and do—better. The passion we have for sharing our love of bikes with the world can be seen in those who choose to work here.
Our Vision: Innovate and inspire to improve riders’ lives
Our Mission: Earn the position as the rider’s brand of choice.
Our Cause: See how we’re endeavoring to improve the lives of kids with ADHD through cycling, with the Specialized Foundation.
Since 2012 Specialized has partnered with Retül, located in Boulder, CO. Together, we've been able to take Retül technology to new heights, and along the way, we've also elevated the precision of Specialized's Body Geometry products. Now, we can take what we've learned from working with the world's most demanding riders and apply this knowledge directly riders of all experience levels and motivations.
If there’s one thing that unites the people who work here, it’s this: we believe that bicycles change lives.
We’re always looking for passionate people—in all disciplines, from engineers and designers to sales and administration roles—who share in this belief and are looking to play an active role in inspiring and getting more people on bikes.
In 1974 we set out to make great bikes, and we recognize that in order to make those bikes we need to also make Specialized a phenomenal place to work for all of our teammates. Our culture is one that fosters greatness, rewards fearlessness and encourages working with wild creativity, whatever your role here may be. We're chock full of ultra-talented people who are empowered to elevate the world around us by putting their work in the hands of millions of people around the globe. We relish solving the unsolvable and we don't let anything get in our way.
Are you ready to make a difference and move your career forward?
Initiating change across suppliers, materials, and design takes time & teamwork. At Specialized we are fiercely committed to constantly improving while also sharing our learnings with other brands. When we’re all working towards a better world, be it manufacturers, parts suppliers or riders, we all win. Through the creation of the Higg Index, the Outdoor Industry Association and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition are working to create standards for sustainable practices across the entire product lifecycle from raw material to end of life.
We are equally as dedicated to applying the principles of collaboration both at home and to the communities where are products are produced. As founding members of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry Bicycle Labor Pilot, we are collaborating with a coalition of leading brands and suppliers to create shared standards, tools and a shared supplier database via the Fair Factories Clearing House. We are also working with the Bicycle Products Supplier Association to help make recommendations to the industry on best practices in sustainability and fair labor practices.
I worked at Specialized Bicycle Components full-time (More than a year)
Passionate employees about being active, not only bicycles. The dedication is magnetic.
Quick turnover, and communication was poor
In-depth. All encompassing. Over the phone mostly. Conversational. Requires in-depth knowledge about the bike-industry. Requires some sort of internal connection. People are welcoming and friendly. Forty five minutes to an hour of conversation.
