    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Specialty's Cafe & Bakery (San Francisco, CA) in August 2016.

    Interview

The interview process started with a somewhat lengthy phone interview with their in-house recruiter. The recruiter set up an interview for a day within the same week with their regional manager. This interview lasted about 1 and a half hours. A follow up interview occurred with same person one week later. In this interview, I also met with someone with whom if I were hired, would be a peer. Toward the end of the interview, I was introduced to another member of the senior management team. The three of us met for another hour or so. The entire interview that day was about three hours. In the meantime, the in-house recruiter kept in good contact with me, answering questions as they came up.

    Interview Questions

    • Honestly, I cannot recall one question asked. I found that since this is a position where they recruited a management professional, the interview process was more about me asking questions with the company management answering. The interview was more like an in-depth conversation about their business, their company, their operational styles, etc. I rather like this approach.   Answer Question
