I have been working at SpotHero full-time (More than a year)
SpotHero gives us the opportunity to try things and we don't have many barriers standing in our way. You feel like your managers and peers want you to succeed and support you in reaching your full potential. The people are amazing, I think that's one of the big things that makes employees love working here. Everyone works with each other and is always willing to help each other out. Bonus points for people being intelligent and easy to get along with!
This place is fast-paced. People do things quickly, which works well for such an innovative company but it can be hard to keep up with if that's not your style.
Advice to Management
I appreciate your commitment to transparency, keep doing that. Keep giving new managers training and resources.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at SpotHero (Chicago, IL) in July 2015.
Contacted by their HR, had the initial talk, just about the resume questions, he promised me to send me a coding challenge after this interview. But two weeks has passed I got nothing, I sent several follow up emails but no reply. So finally one month later, I got an email about the coding challenge and they want me to finish it within this week. I don't want to continue this interview because I don't want to work with them. Based on talking, people are nice but it's ridiculous that it took them a month to send people the coding challenge email, the organization is so poor.
