    I have been working at Spreetail full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Present achievable goals and metrics to produce opportunities for professional development and to stretch one’s potential. Incredible community involvement. Employees are bought in to cultivating a productive, drama free, growth oriented environment. I have noticed during the hiring process, they are very different from other recruiters. They look at skill set and ability to problem solve rather than actual past job title. As in; skills you exercised in another position transfer over to a position which you would easily be able to learn with those skills and thought process.

    Cons

    Not a con, but one must be flexible, able to pivot, problem solve, and not be afraid of new challenges that you will not have the answer for off the bat. Your team and shareholders will serve as invaluable resources to help you succeed.

    Advice to Management

    I look forward to the preservation of the culture as the company continues to grow in size.

    Application

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Spreetail (Austin, TX) in September 2018.

    Interview

    I had 3 rounds of interviews. Firstly, an initial screen with HR, followed by a panel interview with representatives from their Lincoln NE office, and a final round consisting of an interview/presentation with leaders in the Austin TX office. We then capped off with a coffee wrap up with HR from Austin.

    The process was enjoyable overall. They keep it professional, yet laid back designed to make you feel comfortable. The final round (presentation) was extremely thought provoking and the leadership had great follow up questions.

    The best way to describe the process was “normal” in terms of interviewing. The culture and the people made the interview unique and refreshing!

    Interview Questions

    • Be prepared for open conversation and behavioral based interview questions.

      I’d rather not share the presentation questions to protect their integrity but will say be prepared to share steps and strategies on vendor relationship management as well as increasing margin and profit strategies.   Answer Question
