I worked at Spring Hill College full-time

    Pros

Jesuit mission, beautiful campus, great benefits, and creative, smart & purposeful students

    Cons

No pay raise, lack of supervision from absentee supervisor, poor communication, and no team-building activities among staff

    Advice to Management

SHC is a small college where everyone should know each other, but we don't. Basically, everyone works in a silo, when it actuality, we should be collaborating across departments and with faculty and administration.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Spring Hill College (Mobile, AL).

    Interview

They flew me in and I stayed in a local hotel. The next morning I was shuttled from interview to interview. The provost at the time peppered me with lots of questions about the Jesuit mission. Having grown up Catholic (but now atheist), I knew how to say what she wanted to hear. From my conversations with other faculty, many have done exactly the same.
