Advice to Management
Pay better wages, and pay the interns. Everyone there works way too hard for what they're making.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at St. Louis Regional Arts Commission (Saint Louis, MO) in November 2010.
I applied for this position through the general "submit your resume and cover letter to this email address." Information about their internship program was available on their website. I was called back for a face-to-face interview with the internship coordinator. She was generally impressed with my resume so the conversation was more informal in asking me to give a background on my accomplishments and goals for the future. In turn, the originally unpaid internship offering turned into an paid endowment (the first time this have every been offered by this institution).
