    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI) in March 2011.

    Interview

The interview consists of a 20 minute phone interview and then a longer 2 day on campus interview for the 2-4 most promising candidates. The entire department, the Associate Dean of the division you are applying to, and an outside faculty member are involved in the search. Most interviews consist of a research talk, a teaching demonstration, and multiple meetings with faculty, staff, and administration, as well as two dinners.
