Changing the world is tough under any circumstances. But for non-profit organizations, which are competing with well-known commercial brands for consumer attention and walletshare, the road can be even tougher. The world's 1.8 billion Millennials have grown up steeped in technology.

What we're working on for Q3 2015 | Stackla - Social Media Aggregator

Product development at Stackla is shaped by themes. These themes shape our product roadmap, management meetings, daily standups-in fact, everything we do. Sometimes these themes are long-term, lasting years. Sometimes they are short-term, lasting a quarter or even just a month. Sometimes both.

Stackla – Why Work For Us?

In the summer of 2012, our founders Damien Mahoney and Peter Cassidy were running a digital consultancy for professional sports teams in Australia.

Working closely with sports and broadcasters, the pair soon identified a central challenge facing their clients: content was expensive to create, web audiences were being cannibalized by social networks, and nobody quite knew how to derive value from social engagement.

The idea for Stackla was simple: we would save clients from spending huge sums of money on boring content. Instead, we would allow them to tap into and showcase the wealth of amazing stuff their fans were sharing online.

And sports were just the beginning.

Today, with over 60 employees in Sydney, San Francisco, London, Austin and New York and hundreds of customers, Stackla continues to grow—building a culture, a technology and a customer base we’re truly proud of.

I have been working at Stackla full-time (More than 3 years)

Stackla really allows you to control your own destiny with your career, an abundance of opportunity and challenging projects to tackle to allow you to grow your skill set and your career.

Decision making process at Stackla is second to none - we take inputs from all different parts of the business and make fast, decisive, informed decisions in everything we do which lends itself to having everyone's voices heard while still taking the best path to reach a conclusion.

The product is incredible and evolves quickly to provide customers a ton of value. Having been at other companies where the product is not necessarily up to par, it is refreshing to have the backing of such a strong product team that makes it easy to be successful.

The support from every department and every level in the organization is fantastic, I've never felt more supported and invested in any role before. Whatever you aspire to be, Stackla and its executive team will support those goals.

As a terrible cliche, there is nothing negative I have to say about the company. I couldn't have asked for a better place to come in every day.

    Advice to Management

    Difficult Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Stackla (San Francisco, CA).

The hiring process with Stackla was quick, informative, and challenging.

Throughout the process I had the opportunity to connect with multiple people on the team in different roles to ask questions about the company.

The process was a series of video calls/interviews, in person 1:1's, and presentations.
