Mission: To inspire guests to indulge in a memory from their dream vacation
I have been working at Starboard Cruise Services full-time (Less than a year)
The environment is all about hard-working, professional, driven people who care for their work. I can feel a sense of devotion to the company, which ultimately is what makes the difference for a company to succeed.
Not to be hidden, the business model is not easy, a lot of complexity to handle. If you are challenged by that, as I am, this is the ideal place to be.
Management’s concern is the continuous improvement of employees, and I found the HR management to be nothing less than exceptional about that. The tone is set towards personal improvement driving towards company’s results. People are recognized, valued, push to their best.
The environment is based on diversity, and I think this is another key ingredient able to positively contribute to the company's success.
The top management has been amazing in handling a critical period as the one we lived about the hurricane. I felt constantly supported, informed and granted in my safety. The message conceived was clear enough: employees’ safety was the priority, and it was amazingly conveyed by our direct managers, by fellow workers, by the top management of the company. Any single day I never felt abandoned, and when you are going through hard times, that means a lot.
This all is what I was expecting by my ideal company, this is what I found here.
No wonder there are so many people who have been working here for so long.
I don't see any con at the moment.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Starboard Cruise Services.
Interview process is lengthy.. I had three interviews with a total of 5 managers, each interview being about 30 minutes. First I spoke with the Merchandising Associate Manager and Merchandising Manager. Then, I met with the Distributor and Sr. Associate Planning Manager for the category. Lastly, the Divisional Merchandise Manager squeezed in time to meet me.
