I have been working at State of Vermont full-time (More than a year)
The department of Health has a bunch of great people working there doing great work. If people are hired that is the time to negotiate a higher pay step; once someone is hired raises are very prescribed.
There is a lot of red tape being a state entity.
Advice to Management
Upper management should encourage middle management not to treat workers like they are expendable.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State of Vermont in February 2017.
First round of process involved Coding test and after that phone interview followed by Linux test.
Second round of interview was conducted through skype Immediately third round was followed most of the questions were behavioral
