A new day, a first step on the path to greater engagement

In today's climate talk of health care is often fraught with uncertainty and tension. But there is also much reason for optimism, such as the fact that, as an industry, we are better equipped than ever to meet the needs of individual health care consumers.

StayWell – Why Work For Us?

StayWell is a health solutions company committed to the science of behavior change and improving health outcomes. For more than 40 years, StayWell has been delivering workplace well-being programs and patient-education solutions based on industry-leading research and best practices that help people make the best possible choices for their health and for their lifestyle. StayWell is composed of:

  • StayWell Health Management Solutions. A long-time innovator in population and workplace health and wellness, our Health Management Solutions team works with employers to design customized well-being programs that meet their unique workforce needs. Comprehensive programs promote whole-person health and well-being—including physical, emotional, financial, social and professional well-being—and are founded in best practices and research that meet the needs of diverse employee populations.
  • StayWell Patient Education Solutions. Building on a rich tradition of providing clinically based patient education content under the Krames brand name, our StayWell Patient Education Solutions team drives engagement between patients and health care providers. We use leading-edge technology to deliver the information patients need, at the right time and in the desired format. This supports patient engagement, which in turn can improve outcomes for both patients and health systems.

  • StayWell Patient Advocacy Solutions. Our long-standing relationships with nonprofit health organizations, like the American Lung Association and American Heart Association, extend StayWell’s patient education and behavior change tools and information to the general public to support and guide people who are making health improvements, such as quitting tobacco or managing a chronic condition.

Because of our connection to both workplace and clinical settings, StayWell is uniquely positioned to preserve and improve health habits and outcomes, while influencing financial performance and productivity for businesses and the health care system.

Without a doubt, it is an exciting time to do what we do. While there is uncertainty about the future of health care, there are also opportunities. As technology evolves and finds its way into both personal well-being and professional health care settings, StayWell will continue to capitalize on opportunities to blend science with the latest technology in order to:

  • Improve health outcomes for specific populations, from patients with chronic conditions or in specific geographic areas, to employees within companies of all sizes across the country;

  • Drive engagement among patients within care systems and the clinicians who serve them, so we can help patients manage their health, as well as among employees to drive participation in employer efforts to improve workforce health; and

  • Effectively manage the health of targeted populations, such as patients and families who are experiencing chronic or complex conditions, or employee populations who contribute to an organization’s health care costs and impact a company’s ability to remain competitive.

StayWell has a broad and deep bench of experts who are committed to using technology and research in ways that support best-practices and that can be easily and cost-effectively integrated across care systems and companies. We believe the future of health care delivery and well-being will be rooted in interactive, customizable digital solutions.

I have been working at StayWell full-time

I began my career at StayWell and worked here for 5 years. During my time I learned so much and met amazing people. I decided to leave when the company was going through a lot of changes and the culture went downhill. After being gone for about 5 years I began hearing from former colleagues that things were changing for the better. While skeptical I asked a lot of questions and decided to apply for a position to learn more. Since I've been back (almost a year now) I've seen firsthand how the management, products and culture have improved. Everyone works hard and cares about the company. This was a great career move for me. I'm a working parent and really appreciate the flexibility.

    The benefits could be better.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and continue to strive to deliver solid products that are thoroughly tested before rolling out to the entire population.

    Negative Experience

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at StayWell in September 2016.

Interview was to be conducted via Google Hangout. Staywell was late to the meeting, didn't send invite until after the scheduled time. When the meeting did start only one of the three people were on video and it was choppy, poor quality and froze often. Of the two others, one had poor audio and could not be understood. Only one person had a copy of the resume and was prepared for the interview. It took almost 10 minutes before introductions were made and that was only in response to my request. 20 minutes into the interview only one question had been asked and I asked that it be rescheduled when everyone were prepared and to use a more reliable medium.

Overall a very poor impression of the company and an embarrassment to the people involved.
