I have been working at Stella & Dot full-time (Less than a year)
There are so many smart, committed, driven people at Stella & Dot. When you are surrounded by that, it is so inspiring and motivating. There is a lot of work, but it doesn't feel unreasonable. It is also great to be somewhere that lives its core values and recognizes employees that do too.
There is a lot of work, as I mentioned above. I have found that when I ask for help, it is available, and I need to push back when something isn't reasonable.
Advice to Management
This is a pretty great place to work. Show employees how they can grow here.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Stella & Dot (Brisbane, CA).
The recruiter reached out to me for a 30 min intro interview. She then got back to me quickly about scheduling another 30 min interview with one of the directors. I almost didn’t even want to take the next steps because the recruiter was so unenthusiastic and bored when telling me about the job and culture and kept repeating the same answer for any question I asked. I’m glad I did accept the next steps because I learned a lot more positive things about the role. I was invited for an in-person interview with 4 other people and had an overall good experience seeing the office and meeting key people. I was told a decision would be made that week and feedback would be provided. After several follow-up emails, I finally heard back from the recruiter 2 weeks later who told me they decided to go with someone else. I asked for additional feedback that the interviewers had promised and was left with no response.
