    Working at SBJG will give you great experience, exposure and satisfaction. The opportunity to work closely with some of the most talented, experienced and smart architects is a big plus. The office environment is mostly relaxed with a good work/life balance. Unlike many other NY architecture firms, this is not a chaotic and stressful place. You have some flexibility with work hours if you take ownership of your deliverables. This place is not for everyone though. Office culture is super-efficient. Communication and flexibility is key, ability to multitask efficiently and switch gears effectively to work with different teams on different projects is essential. There is no such thing as being over qualified here – whatever you are good at, from zoning to rendering - the firm will use it! Competitive compensation plan.


    Not all the projects are high-end, exiting projects. Even though you work on many large projects, they are often prioritized with tight budget and the need to accommodate clients wishes may compromise some of your design ideas. This is not a starchiest environment .
    Also almost no senior architects are hired from outside the firm - most leadership grew and established within the firm (which can be a positive if you are looking to grow your career here!).

    Make a clearer path of professional growth and development for junior and mid-level employees.
