I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sterling Talent Solutions (Bothell, WA) in September 2016.
I was initially reached out to on LinkedIn, and while I tend to shy away from recruiter messages, the position and company looked intriguing. My initial call with the recruiter was a great experience, and she was one of the most honest and down-to-earth recruiters I've talked with, more like chatting with someone casually over coffee.
After the first conversation, I had a follow-up call with the hiring manager, and that went just as well, if not better. Again it felt like we were having a professional conversation and there was no pressure or nerves, so all signs were pointing to a company that hired and attracted people that matched my work style and personality type.
I was then brought into the local office and met with five employees over the course of three hours, all of which were professional yet personable, and the conversations were enlightening and educational. I learned a good deal about the company culture/history/methods that day, and it had a hugely positive impact on my overall interview experience.
The interviews weren't your typical Q&A session; every interaction was a thoughtful discussion, and both parties came away from it invigorated about the potentials of the position and outcomes.
Two days later I received the offer and gladly accepted. I'm looking forward to making a lasting, positive impact with Sterling.
