    HR Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Steward Health Care System (Melbourne, FL) in September 2017.

    Interview

I had a phone interview with the head of HR. She took the time to give a brief overview of the company and their tremendous growth over the past year. I was definitely not getting a good feeling that they have things in place for the unprecedented growth they have experienced. They need to fill a large number of key positions and without that infrastructure in place I don't see the immmediate future as being a positive place to be. If you were looking for an opportunity to come in on the ground floor with the understanding that there would be a lot of uncertainty this would be a good job. The position involved driving among three locations working with each area to manage their HR concerns. They do not pay for your vehicle and only pay mileage when you go to a second office in one day. The drive time alone (without even considering the uncertainty and lack of pressures in place) would not be worthwhile. I did not get the impression that employees are highly valued.
