Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Negative Outlook

The people, they are some of the most intelligent, kind, helpful, and fun people I have ever met. It was an honor working with them. Summer Fridays.

Priorities are constantly changing which made it difficult to actually get through a project, let alone a single sprint without having to change tasks.

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

Overall the interview process was enjoyable: I spoke with the recruiter, interviewed with the hiring manager, and then did a few rounds of interviews during a virtual on-site. Interviews were mostly behavioral questions and there were a few technical questions about past projects.

I was really looking forward to working here, but my offer was rescinded after we negotiated compensation and after I had left my previous role. As a job seeker, I’d be very wary accepting any offer from Streem/Frontdoor in the future; I was extremely disappointed in how the situation was handled. I was looking forward to some time off between my previous role and working at Streem, but now I feel strung along and like my time was wasted.
