Strong-Bridge Consulting – Why Work For Us?

With more than 180 consultants in three cities and counting, we’re proud to be a firm that is growing steadily and yet is still in touch with our values. Founded in 2003, it was our mission to build a consultancy that did things differently. Better. That meant a lot of things, of course. But it was always anchored on our values. In fact, the values we crafted in our charter are the same ones we hold today. Nobody walks around with a laminated sheet under their arm, they just embody them.

Chief among our values is clients first. It means we’ll always do the right thing, even if it isn’t always the best thing for us. That’s because we think doing good business means being good people — never cut throat, money hungry, or glory seeking. We’re also local, and proud of it. We’ve made it our business to make an investment in the communities where we live and work. We like that we don’t get on planes every week. That allows our people to pursue all the things they love.

  • Clients First. We do what's right for you and your best interests.
  • Integrity. We maintain the highest integrity in all interactions - with our clients, our partners, and our teammates.
  • Fairness. We're fair and reasonable, both in words and actions.
  • Collective Good. We focus on the collective good for our clients and all Strong-Bridge team members.
  • Respect. We respect our clients, partners, and each other.
  • Sense of Composure & Humor. We maintain our sense of composure, even in difficult situations, and believe some levity eases tension and stress.

We look for professionals who are compelled by our values and who are passionate about leading client organizations through their biggest business initiatives. For us, it’s experience that makes the difference. Experience in industry, in business, and in life — because it’s all of these things in total that shape how people respond. Strong-Bridge consultants use every aspect of their lives to create success in their client relationships. If you’re one of those people, we’d like to hear from you.

It’s important to us that the work we take on is right for the firm and right for our consultants — because we believe that when people are challenged, appreciated, and supported, they do their best work. It’s also important to us that our consultants feel part of our team, even if they spend a large portion of their time with a client. So we host periodic knowledge sharing sessions, social events, and thrice-yearly all-company gatherings we call “Thirdlys.” Every bit of this is intentional because we’re only as good as the people we hire. And we’re only as successful as the people we keep.

Our commitment to our communities extends to the support of local organizations and not-for-profits.
Being servants of our community has become a vital part of living our values because we believe that being successful goes hand in hand with giving back. It’s important to us that we create opportunities between our people and a need in the communities in which they live.

Call it good will. We call it being connected. Over the years, Strong-Bridge has volunteered for, provided services to, and/or financially supported several organizations.

I have been working at Strong-Bridge Consulting (Less than a year)

    Pros

Although I am not a consultant, I have had an up-close look at the leadership and management while working as an internal marketing coordinator for the firm.

Clients are at the center of everything they do, but they also really care about their people and the experience they have with the firm.

They grant you a high level of autonomy, but with a high set of expectations for your performance.

The company is expecting a high level of growth over the next four years, so I could not be more excited to see where they go and to be a part of it.

    Cons

Not necessarily a con, but the Atlanta office is relatively new so they are still establishing a culture. It will take some time to get the same strong culture the company has in Seattle.

    Advice to Management

Your commitment to your values and being down-right good people is inspiring. Don't lose that energy as the company continues to grow.

The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Strong-Bridge Consulting (Smyrna, GA).

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MANAGEMENT CONSULTING! These people will rush to make you sign an agreement only once they have a potential client...and you'll never hear from them again until client commits. You'll be canned within a week once engagement is over. Steer clear.
