Mission: Making Education Accessible...
With short and fun videos, taught by great teachers, we help students easily master any subject and achieve their educational goals.
We're excited to have Working Scholars in our first Southern California city and to expand our efforts to help people earn no-cost college degrees! Find out how we're partnering with Duke Realty and the City of Perris, CA to bring Working Scholars to Perris residents.
We love being able to help members of our community earn a no-cost college degree!
College can be out of reach for many because of the cost and lack of time to attend classes at a traditional school. Our Working Scholars program is community funded (so participants don’t pay anything) and is entirely online so it's easy to fit learning into a busy schedule.

Study.com is on a mission to make education accessible. We're building the top education brand to help students access high-quality, affordable education.
Study.com has courses and lessons that make learning fun and engaging. Over 30 million students a month visit Study.com to prepare for exams, earn college credit, boost their grades, and get continuing education.
Our courses help students boost their scores on class exams and standardized exams like AP, ACT, and SAT exams. The innovative format of our video lessons helps students master difficult concepts and remember material.
Many of our college courses lead to credit that is considered for transfer credit at over 2,000 colleges and universities. Our courses help students graduate from college faster and with less debt.
Our engineers are the most talented in Silicon Valley and have built an innovative platform to help students study and earn college credit more efficiently than anywhere else. Our engineering team is constantly building new features and improving our platform to help Study.com subscribers meet their educational goals.
Our solid business model sets us apart from other Silicon Valley companies. We have been profitable since 2002 and don't have any investors meddling with the business. Our subscription service and advertising ventures have fueled significant growth over the past few years, and the company gains value with each passing month.
We've created 100% of our content and continue to create new content at a fast pace. We own all of our content and control where it appears and how it's used. You won't find our courses, lessons, or articles anywhere else on the Web.
We further our mission of making education accessible by offering low-cost college credit. Many of our courses have been recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE CREDIT), and students have the opportunity to transfer credits earned to over 2,000 colleges. With our courses, students could bypass the first two years of college, cutting the cost of their degree in half. One of our goals is to grant the most credit, and we're well on our way to meet that goal.
We have one of the smartest and passionate teams in Silicon Valley, and we shower our employees with great perks, including:

Study.com's employees are smart, friendly, funny, innovative, and dedicated to helping our students. We hire the best and invest in our employees so they can grow in their careers.
We value transparency. Everyone in the company has the opportunity to know what other teams are working on through bi-monthly video demos and regular collaboration. We celebrate company milestones and team achievements with champagne toasts, treats like cake pops and Cream ice cream sandwiches, gift cards, and the occasional trip to Vegas.
Our tight-knit teams work together to build great new content and features for our customers. By collaborating closely and providing frequent feedback to each other, our teams are high-performing and fun to work with.
We work quickly and efficiently through relentless prioritization and teamwork. We plan quarterly initiatives that focus on our biggest business goals, and work on Scrum teams to reach those goals. By working on small teams and revisiting goals and progress on a regular basis, we're able to move quickly and stay nimble.
We foster a culture of large and small innovations. Twice a month on Innovation Friday, our employees choose what to work on - working on a new site feature, exploring a new technology, improving a process, and more. We also host bi-annual hackathons where small teams collaborate for 24 hours on their passion projects. We are always iterating, and have a culture of frequent feedback so we learn from our employees what needs to be improved.
We work hard and get a lot of work done, but we also enjoy relaxing with our coworkers. From daily pool games at lunch time to Friday happy hour, we like to have fun together. Some of our past events include a company trip to Las Vegas, beach day at the Santa Cruz boardwalk, bocce ball, and Giants games.
We're hiring software engineers, front-end developers, software architects, quality engineers, and scrummasters to help us become the number one online education brand. Our talented and passionate team of engineers have helped us build a thriving subscription service and features such worksheets and teacher management tools. We move quickly, and you'll see your code deployed with no red tape.

I have been working at Study.com full-time
Great culture - a company that cares about employees, empowers young go-getters and has a great mission.
Not much. We're growing fast so there are growing pains as we figure out how to grow the organization but continue to keep everything we love about the culture.
I applied online. I interviewed at Study.com (Mountain View, CA) in January 2016.
I went through a phone screen with HR, a phone screen with a Content Team manager, and then a 3+ hour on-site interview. First phone screen was relatively basic information, nothing too in-depth. Next screen went further into the roll and the department. The on-site was very eye-opening, really giving a feel for the work involved, the company culture, and the workers. They actually took the time to read my resume and were prepared to talk about my application materials in the interview. The entire process was very fast. In most cases they got back to me within 48 hours. I wish all of my applications throughout my job hunt had been this smooth and open!
I was able to negotiate some.
