Mount Charleston

A popular destination any time of year, Mount Charleston offers a delightful getaway just 35 minutes northwest of Las Vegas. Enjoy the spectacular wildflowers and breathtaking views afforded by more than 50 hiking trails, or stay at one of nearly 200 campsites. Charleston Peak also beckons for winter diversions like skiing and snowshoeing.

Lake Mead National Recreational Area

Home to the largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere, the area offers year-round recreational opportunities just a half-hour from Las Vegas. Enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, photography, picnicking, sightseeing and more.

Red Rock Canyon

More than one million visitors enjoy the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area each year. Just 15 miles from downtown Las Vegas, you can find something for all ages and interests here, including a 13-mile scenic drive, hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, biking, picnic areas and a visitor center.

Hoover Dam

Larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza, the engineering marvel that is the Hoover Dam has wowed visitors since its construction in the 1930s. Today, there are various ways to view the immense wonder: tours outside and inside the dam, a drive on the spectacular new four-lane highway bridge arching across the Colorado River, or even on a paddle craft tour in the river below.

Smith Center for the Performing Arts

Ready to experience the best and brightest in first-rate programming, right in downtown Las Vegas? Enjoy the Smith Center, a $470 million performing arts complex that celebrates artistic excellence, education, and culture from around the world. Serving as the home for the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada Ballet Theatre, the center was designed to echo the 1930s art deco style of the Hoover Dam. But that style doesn’t tell the whole story—this modern facility, opened in 2012, is the first performing arts center in the U.S. to be Gold LEED certified.

Springs Preserve

What was once the original water source for Las Vegas is today the premier site to explore the valley’s vibrant natural history. The Springs Preserve features 180 acres of interactive science and nature exhibits, colorful botanical gardens, hiking, trails, and live animal shows—and it’s only three miles from downtown.

And much, much more!

Las Vegas hosts major events in college basketball, motorsports, and rodeo, as well as numerous cultural events and festivals for the whole family. And be sure to enjoy something cool starting in the 2013 summer season—a new Wet ‘n’ Wild water park featuring more than 25 slides and attractions. Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Summerlin Hospital in May 2012.

    Interview

I was hired by a third party agency. The recruiter wanted to know what modules of Cerner I was familiar with? I responded : I'm familiar with the following Cerner Modules: Power Notes, Power Charts, First Net , and CPOE.
After completing the phone interview, the recruiter advised me he would get back with me after submitting my resume to the hiring manager. The recruiter got back with me in a couple of day's and advised me of the next step. The next step was to complete my paper work for back ground check and drug test.

    Interview Questions

    • I did not have a difficult or unexpected question. I made sure I was prepared for the interview.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I was offered the rate that was within the average for my position.
