Developing professional Brand Representatives through guided training is in our DNA. Our management team possesses more than 50 years of combined sales and marketing experience specific to the direct marketing industry. In applying this experience, Summit has developed unique and innovative in-store marketing programs that engage thousands of consumers daily. Our fast-paced, face-to-face promotions quickly relay a product’s story or message directly to consumers, increasing sales of that product.

Q: Where are you from?

 Answer: Smyrna Tennessee (Middle Tennessee)

Q: When you were first exposed to sales and marketing?

 Answer: My first job out of school was a door to door sales job.

Q: What was the biggest challenge you faced in getting a business started?

 Answer: Dealing with government regulations and requirements was very intimidating, costly and time consuming.

Q: Looking back to Summit’s establishment in 2011 and where the company is now what are a few accomplishments you are most proud of?

 Answer:  I would say the fact that many of our first year employees are still with us and have experienced nice career growth. I am also very proud of the fact that we have consistently improved the support given to our sales team and retail partners. Almost all of our reinvestment into the business has been geared towards enrichments for our employees and providing a better product and service to our retail partners. I would also list the fact that some of our most successful products are designed and manufactured in the USA. We have made an effort to move the business in this direction as much as possible.

Q: As you look ahead what are you most excited about for the future of Summit?

 Answer: I think our leadership team is maturing and continue to learn how to run our business and improve the decisions they make that affect our employees and retail partners. Our track record has opened up a number of channels of opportunity that we did not foresee such as selling services like, cable, satellite, home improvement or credit card acquisitions. We are also being sought out by retailers in other countries (UK, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Russia) who are interested in partnering with us to help them develop successful retail programs that address the challenges that retailers face today.
