The Sumo Logic Story

Our founders one goal: to develop enterprise software that was easy to deploy, was powerful yet simple, and that delivered on the promise of actionable insights from the company’s log data. The timing couldn’t have been better. Enterprises continued to drown in data, and the cloud was becoming mainstream.

Sumo Logic became the first enterprise grade cloud-based service for log analysis. For the first time, customers had a service that delivered interactive and proactive analytics at an unprecedented scale – minus all of the complexity of outdated on-premise or home-grown solutions.

Within two years we launched our first product, and today are the category leading machine data analytics platform that delivers continuous intelligence to more than 2,000 customers globally and delivering 10s of milliions of insights daily.

Sumo is undoubtedly positioned on the right side of a generational shift in technology, we have a powerful and proven service, and an elite set of investors backing us. We believe how we work together, and our ability to constantly lean in to change and improve, will be critical to our future success.

From our company’s inception, our founders drove core values that reflected the
type of company they were passionate about building. Maintaining a laser focus on our core values in everything we do is fundamental to the fulfillment and success of our employees. From every hire we make, to how we communicate and make decisions, our values are foundational to creating a work environment where employees can thrive.

    Pros

Great training, uncapped commissions, you are as successful as you want to be

    Cons

This is a complicated technology, I think Sumo Logic could do a better job at promoting ongoing training. This would help many bridge the gap between SDR and AE

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sumo Logic in April 2020.

    Interview

Had 4 phone calls with hiring managers and marketing team members. Everyone was very nice and informed on the company and their goals. After not hearing next steps, I emailed them back and waited about a week until I heard an update. Hiring manager told me that an internal employee was interviewing, but I was still in the running for the position. Next day, hiring manager emailed me again saying they would not move forward.
