Worked with upper & middle management - all wonderful people personally & professionally. Consensus is important, as is the norm in a Japanese owned company, and respect for each others opinion.
Top level management slow to think strategically in regards to the US CPG market versus Japan.
Advice to Management
Focus on US marketing strategy for consumer packaged goods as totally separate from Japan.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sun Chlorella USA (Torrance, CA) in January 2017.
Initial phone screen by a recruiter, first interview with VP, second with President. Were easy interviews, and I was offered a position but compensation was too low. Was about 70K. Took other opportunity with 85.
